Master Performance

Since its launch in May 2002 Powerscreen Washing Systems have established the Fines Master 120 a proven high-performance sand-recovery machine. Both Frank Lyons Plant Services of Chelmsford and Day Aggregates of Greenwich have achieved significant results with the machine, which is providing 98% recovery of all material above 75µ and 100% recovery of all material above 150µ. Providing high capacity at a typical 120 tonnes/h, both companies have achieved a more profitable operation through a major reduction both in the moisture content of the material and in saleable material discharging to lagoons; this in itself has reduced lagoon maintenance and saved money. With a quick set-up time, the machine can be producing one or two grades of sand in a matter of hours.
